Coop Denmark Drives Full-lifecycle Personalization from Product Discovery Through to Purchase and Loyalty

Coop.dk is part of Denmark’s largest shopping cooperative with over 1,200 stores and 38,000 employees. The retailer offers a wide array of products across food, clothing, footwear, and hardware.

The Challenge With rising customer expectations for both convenience and relevance, Coop.dk wanted to achieve personalization at scale to craft a more compelling shopper experience and improve conversions and engagement. With Algonomy, they intended to:

  • Build a personalization roadmap that aligns with their commerce objectives and helps educate and align key internal leaders and stakeholders
  • Deploy an AI-powered solution that would not only enable personalization across the entire customer lifecycle but also empower them to innovate new experiences

Personalization is something that customers in the Danish market simply expect when they visit an e-shop. To meet our customer needs, we started by first implementing the most important part of the [Algonomy] platform: Recommend for Personalized Product Offers. We did this throughout our website. Soon after, we looked into implementing Discover for personalized product pages and lastly, Engage, for personalized content and placements. All three modules work great together.
